Frauscher Challenge.... Loosdrecht

Without a doubt one of the highlights of 2009 was the Frauscher Challenge. During the summer several clients and friends of GOLDVISH, MANICA, Porsche and Frauscher competed for the Title. Goal was to set the fastest laptime at Lake Side Beach Loosdrecht. The Challenge started at Restaurant Het Bosch, but when the police threatened to seize both of the Frauscher Lido's we were racing AND arrest Ferry, we knew it was time to move....

The final race was to be a race of champions. A race where every winner got a chance to compete for the season's cup. Unfortunately, very Dutch weather determined the outcome, so we had to abort the competition. The picture above is taken on one of the rare moments it wasn't raining....

Upside of the failed finals is that all drivers are welcome back in the spring of 2010, when we will start the new season of the Frauscher Challenge with the Final Race of 2009. I just can't wait....

If you visit Florence regularly as I do, then you also know that hotels can differ in quality, and that's an understatement... Home Hotel is the refreshing exception. Inside, as you can see, white is the new black. The theme is really cool and it works for me. I just loved the small hotel that really makes you feel at ease. With the use of the minibar included in the room rates, as well as internet and snacks in the lobby, it's just like home...

The Time Has Come..... Washington D.C.

Finally it's time. A day the world has been anticipating for. This afternoon at 12:00 (EST) in Washington, history is written. The man who has achieved the sheer impossible, gets the job with the sheer impossible mission. The future will tell if America casted the hero it was hoping for, or that it was fed by an excellent director, using the most charismatic actor ever. One thing is for sure; Obama wants to do things differently than the rest. Surrounded by pop- and moviestars, he made the race to the White House unforgettably breathtaking. I'll take a gamble; where Reagan ended his actingcareer to fulfill the highest position possible, Obama will start his. The result will be a theatrical thriller never seen before. Including the scandals, explosions, miraculous and unrealistic revellations, and not to forget; a proper American happy ending. At first it looks like nothing new, if not for one thing he added; HOPE. That will be the breakthrough in times where skepticism and doubt have become common goods. Yes We Can. From this afternoon there is time for hope again. So there you really have it; The Change I Can Believe In.

Eindelijk is het zover. Een dag waar de wereld met smart op heeft gewacht. Vanmiddag om 12:00 (EST) wordt in Washington D.C. geschiedenis geschreven. De man die het schijnbaar onmogelijke heeft gepresteerd krijgt de baan met een schijnbaar onmogelijke missie. De toekomst zal uitwijzen of Amerika de held heeft gecast waar het op hoopte, of dat het werd gevoed door een uitmuntende regisseur, gebruikmakend van de meest charismatische acteur ooit. Één ding is zeker; president Obama wil het anders doen dan de rest. Omringd door film en popsterren heeft hij de race naar het Witte Huis onvergetelijk adembenemend gemaakt. Ik gok er op; Waar Reagan zijn filmcarrière aan de wilgen hing om het hoogste ambt te bekleden, start Obama aan de zijne. Het resultaat wordt een schouwspel dat zijn weerga niet kent, inclusief schandalen, explosies, miraculeuze en onwerkelijke ontknopingen en niet te vergeten een oer-Amerikaans happy end. Op het eerste gezicht niets anders dus, ware het niet dat hij één ingrediënt heeft toegevoegd; HOPE. Dat wordt de doorslag in tijden waar scepsis en twijfel gemeengoed lijken te zijn geworden. Yes We Can. Vanaf vanmiddag is er weer tijd voor hoop. Daar is het dan toch echt; The Change I Can Believe In.

Ultimate Combination

Of course this first message shows an own creation. This is my favorite sports jacket, entirely handmade in our Italian sartoria. The combination of the golden brown tie and the crisp white shirt has become impossible to miss for me. It creates a fresh but rich touch, and not unimportant, it goes perfectly with my cognac Santoni's.....

The jacket is used out of pure necessity during our first shoot, since the model had an entirely different size than communicated by the modelling agency. There you are with your collection in 50 Lungo... Thank god my size 44/46 fitted like a glove on him, which enabled us to shoot this picture.

The more of the reason to stay close to myself. A collection of style, design, craftsmanship and advice, the way I live and experience. Therefore this weblog, Pure Luxury Experience. A guide to everything that is interesting, intriguing and breathtaking.

Uiteraard toont dit eerste bericht een eigen creatie. Dit is mijn favoriete colbert, volledig met de hand vervaardigd in ons italiaanse atelier. De combinatie van de goudbruine das en het witte shirt is voor mij onmisbaar geworden. Het geeft een fris, maar rijk beeld en niet onbelangrijk, het combineert perfect met mijn favoriete cognac Santoni's......

Het colbert is uit pure noodzaak gebruikt tijdens onze eerste shoot, aangezien het model een totaal andere maat had dan door het modellenbureau opgegeven. Daar sta je dan met een collectie in maat 50 Lungo... Mijn maat 44/46 zat 'm echter als gegoten, waardoor we uiteindelijk dit beeld hebben kunnen schieten.

Des te meer reden om het dicht bij mijzelf te zoeken. Een verzameling van stijl, vormgeving, maakwijze en advies, zoals ik deze leef en beleef. Daarom deze weblog, Pure Luxury Experience. Een gids voor alles wat interessant, intrigerend en enerverend is.
